A Little Care, a Lot of Green: Free Printable Plant Care Guides
Six plant profiles and practical care resources in a simple black-and-white collection for your windowsill.

A small guide beside the pot
It is easier to remember a plant’s needs when the essentials are close at hand. Our black-and-white care collection brings together six familiar houseplants, a few useful checks and space to record what happens in your own home. The fine botanical line art and restrained boho details are designed to stay clear on an ordinary home printer.
Download the complete 12-page care collection (PDF, approximately 1.4 MB).
Choose the sheet you need
Each plant profile covers light, watering, potting mix, upkeep and signs to investigate. Start with the botanical name so a similar common name does not lead you to the wrong advice.
- Monstera care sheet (PDF) — for Monstera deliciosa.
- Snake plant care sheet (PDF) — for Dracaena trifasciata.
- Golden pothos care sheet (PDF) — for Epipremnum aureum.
- ZZ plant care sheet (PDF) — for Zamioculcas zamiifolia.
- Spider plant care sheet (PDF) — for Chlorophytum comosum.
- Rubber plant care sheet (PDF) — for Ficus elastica.
The illustration is decorative. Use the botanical names and your plant’s actual features for identification.
Build a routine around checking
Print the watering guide and light guide if you are still finding a comfortable routine. Keep the troubleshooting sheet nearby when something changes.
The reusable care log has space for soil moisture, pot weight, actions and observations. A useful entry might read: “Mix still damp below the surface; pot heavy; waited.” Waiting can be a care decision too.
Print simply
Use A4 paper, actual size or 100 per cent scale, and black-and-white printing. If your printer clips an edge, choose fit to printable area. Print one-sided if you want to keep the plant sheets beside separate pots. The PDFs contain selectable text and live reference links; no sign-up is required.
Let your home shape the advice
These guides are starting points for plants growing indoors in potting mix. A large pot in a shaded room dries differently from a small pot beside a bright window. In warm Australian homes, active growth may continue beyond a conventional spring–summer season. Check moisture and growth before changing the routine.
For the reasoning behind the checks, read how to tell when a plant needs water. For more detail on an individual species, visit the plant library. The reference sheet links to the horticultural sources used for the collection.
